I know Wirtual is making a joke out of that, but MCD actually lost that case because they did indeed brew their coffee way above regulation temps out of laziness/negligence and convenience.
MCD spread that story and misrepresented the facts to make fun of their victim out of spite/pettiness.

Think about it, is Coffe that's hot enough to melt and fuse your skin together actually drinkable? What would have happened if coffee that hot would have entered her mouth instead of "just" spilling over her legs? And again, melting and fusing the skin of her legs together, trough her clothes.
