M5S Guide - AAC Cruiserweight M1 Savage (Dancing Green)

Показать описание
This is a guide to the fight Arcadion M5S (Dancing Green) in the game Final Fantasy XIV. At the time of recording, NA PF is a complete smorgasbord of different raidplans, so I've tried to show sensible strats based off my own experience doing the fight. EU PF seems to be cementing around toxic friends, which has slightly different positioning than my guide, so I'll add it to the pinned comment and show the differences in a follow up mini-guide if needed.

00:00 Introduction
01:41 Disco Infernal 1
04:46 Ensemble Assemble 1
07:06 Ride the Waves
08:23 Frogtourage 1
09:16 Disco Infernal 2
10:14 Ensemble Assemble 2
11:03 Frogtourage 2
12:33 Do the Hustle
12:50 Funky Floor 2

For people checking in just to see what strats I show.
1. My strats could be summarised as E/W Disco Infernal 1, N/S RMMR Arcady, Colour Pairs everything else. I tried to stick closer to conventions that NA has used in PF previously, and otherwise keep things consistent across the fight.

That audio tell of the cat meowing is a good catch for helping deal with the mechanic

Just wanted to say thank you, Hector, for all the time and effort you put into your guides. I genuinely wouldn't have had the confidence to step into high-end content if it weren't for your P1S video, it was my first real entry point into raiding, and your guide made it approachable. Your videos helped me actually see what was going on. You break things down in a way that’s easy to understand, and as a visual learner, I can’t even express how valuable that is.
I’ll be honest, seeing some of the nasty comments aimed at you really got to me, because I know how much of a difference your work has made for me and for so many others. Just know that there are plenty of us out here who deeply appreciate what you do. Keep being awesome.

I'd like to thank you for the work you put in for everyone, not just with this guide, but everything you made so far. But also this for being up barely a day after it released. Practice is already fun in the fight as is but with everything going on since last week, just felt like pointing it out - let the haters say whatever. You're an awesome person for putting in the effort.

The biggest part of your guides that helps is that you explain what the mechanic does. So many times since I knew that I could adjust to other strats if needed. Thank you again for providing a method that meshes with my learning style.

I just wanna say thank you for all your videos, been raiding since 5.2 and after 6.0 we have always been using your video guides for our static! Please keep up the great work!!!

Honestly, without your guides and hard work, a lot of people would be lost. It takes someone putting together a lot of scattered data, and explaining it in a concise way to get most of us hitting the ground running. I'm a visual learner; without these I'd struggled 10x more. Thank you!

The production quality of this one is really impressive and I can't believe you got it out after only a single day. Thank you so much for this!

Thank you once again Hector for your dedication and effort.

I had a PF group that figured out a cheeky way to read the spotlights. This might work for some people that find your method difficult.

When spotlights activate, don't worry about short and long or starting locations; just look at the four squares under the boss. Two are red, two are safe. The red ones point toward the spotlight corners that will be safe for the ranged players. For melee players, the safe squares are directly touching the spotlight squares. This is demonstrated at 3:14 in your guide. Just dance nearby and be ready to move into the spotlight as your timer expires!

As someone fresh to Savage raiding as of Dawntrail - thank you from the bottom of my heart, Hector!

Your guides have always given me the confidence to start off strong, and this M5S guide got me well-prepared enough to trial with a new raid group this tier and to see from fresh to enrage in one single lockout, and I've never been able to do so before. Thanks to your thorough videos and this one in particular, they're keeping me, and I get to experience this awesome series of fights!

I wish I could do more, but my sincere wish is that you keep doing what YOU do - and keep up the incredible work helping so many of us get settled into higher-difficulty content! 🥰

Thank you to the cat being in time with the beat of pauses between Hector's guide. You are the real disco inferno.

One neat little thing a lot of people don't know about the "Let's Pose!" cast:
If you've done the mechanic perfectly it will do no damage and, as mentioned, give you a short damage buff instead.
However, anyone that got hit by a cleave will receive kinda-heavy damage (and no damage buff) at the end so if you have a bunch of vulns in your group
there some mitigation will definitely help save some resources on your healers as well as avoid a potential death or 2!

I've been getting absolutely destroyed in PF (but we've gotten to ride the waves a few times!!!) so I'm very excited to jump back in with this as a reference point :D

I appreciate all the guides because aside from just being fun to watch (watching guides for high end content i was "definitely never gonna end up doing" is how i got interested in doing said content in the first place lol) it really seems to help me to have the animations and voiceover, instead of just static images and text from raidplans.

Thank you for everything you do mate. Thanks to your guides I was able to start raiding last tier (started with the two extremes and worked up to savage). Cleared the tier, was BiS, got my first savage mount while it was current. Got myself into a week 1 static and managed to clear this fight today. Your guides help so much with breaking down mechanics piece by piece and understanding them. I've show these guides to folks in my FC and they've even tried out extremes and savages (and cleared a few) when they would have otherwise never touched the content, written it off as too difficult and hard to understand. Don't let anyone discourage you, you do amazing work here. I hope you have a great week, and a great raid tier chief.

The only thing you missed, is Perfect Groove if the whole party gets it, you also gain 1 full LB bar, which can mean you can achieve double LB3 if needed.

Thank you! Your guides are always the most helpful to me. Even if my static uses different strats, your guides are still a solid foundation for the mechanics, and I can adjust the solutions as needed. Looking forward to the rest of this tier!
