According to the social media account, Walmart reportedly asking Chinese suppliers to lower prices may risk disrupting supply chains and damaging the interests of both American and Chinese companies and consumers. The behavior may also violate commercial contracts and disrupt market order, it added. "If Walmart insists on doing so, then what awaits Walmart is not just talk, " the social media account warned, hinting that the American retail giant might be facing regulatory action. In a statement Wednesday, the China Chamber Of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, a state-backed industry group, said that it had recently received reports from some members saying that large U.S. retailers had asked them to cut prices, pledging to take action to defend Chinese companies' interests. “I am highly confident that the Chinese manufacturers will eat the tariffs, (and) prices won’t go up, ” U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox News in a recent interview. China’s textile sector is also also chafing against Walmart’s tariff posture. “In a separate statement on Wednesday, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles said it had received complaints from some members after Walmart asked them to cut prices. Tariffs only temporarily increase prices because US Steel & Aluminum manufacturers will step up production. Remember when China was selling rebar below raw material cost with intent to bankrupt US manufacturers, Trump saved them then and is doing so again. As far as Canada electricity, it is on the grid, disconnect high price producers from the grid and have lower cost producers step up, it is that easy, there is nothing unique about Canada electricity. Manufacturing has to be rebuilt in US before 2030 to keep profits retained in US before the Great Wealth Transfer and Spending Boom when Boomers will be dying off passing over $70 trillion to our heirs creating the largest financial boom in history of the world, there has never been that much wealth transfered before. Boomers hit Peak 65 early 2024, will hit Peak Death in 2036 in that 10 year bell curve as most Boomers will die off.
