Well 4.2 of Genshin Impact is now out and with, you know what I think I dare say is the best quest archon quest yet. i enjoyed myself, although I know Furina and Focalors arent technically the same person please man let that skin be playable. some genshin impact leaker please leaks it will be playable please anyway newest archon quest gave us alot of good lore stuff about focalor, teyvat and natlan but before we talk about that lets talk about furinas performance on the grandest stage of them all, and form the theories later.

After 500 years of acting as an Archon, for someone who has no power but with all the responsibility, I'm surprised that Furina didn't go insane or become so delusional that she believed her own lie and thinks she herself is the real Archon.
I hope in future quests she will be returned to her throne, even though she doesn't have the power of a god, what she has done alone makes her qualified for the title of Hydro Archon.

0:36 ALL OF THIS- ALL OF THIS I SWEAR. I’ve been playing this game since Sumeru and seen Fontaine from start to finish… the finale was absolutely amazing. I still have so many lingering questions that will defiantly show up in Natlan. Geez Louise.

It was all one big gamble. Focalors appointed Neuvillette as Iudex hoping to foster feelings of empathy and compassion so that when the time finally came to return the Hydro Authority, Neuvillette would _choose_ to use it to grant Fontainians "true blood".

Only a Sovereign would be able to use the Hydro Authority in that capacity and circumvent Celestia's limits on what they allowed Archons to do. In order for this to work, Neuvillette had to want to do it. Focalors could not force Neuvillette.

Regarding Celestia's slumber, it might be due to using up their power to punish khaenri'ah. But it could be wrong, I've heard other players say the archons helped pitch in with the punishment.

The Furina Focalor split is a massive detail lots of people missed. They are missing the fact that Furina and Focalor are one in the same.

Focalor basically split her humanity, and turned into the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale just like how Raiden Shogun gave up her body and made a puppet. Her essence/spirit is actually the sword itself that the Raiden Shogun Wields.

Interestingly enough, in the end of the exposition portion of the Sumeru Arch, it was mentioned that the Hydro Archon has never missed a single trial. That’s because she *is* the source of the final verdict.

I have been searching for videos regarding the archon quest because (1) I did not understand why Focalor has to die and (2) in what way was Celestia tricked.

If Celestia had known about the Travelers arrival, and of Khanriah's tech advancement, how did they not know that the Prophecy failed? It turns out, it was not just me.

I just finished 4.2 archon quest. From what I understand in the game, the "original sin" came from Egeria who stole the powers of primordial sea to make her oceanids turn into humans. It is her familiar's wish to become human because they want to experience life from the delightful to the depressing. Egeria doesn't have the authority to make this happen thus celestia bestowed a phropecy that fontanians will disolve and only the hydro archon will remain weeping in her throne. This prophecy passed unto the next hydro archon. Focalors/Furina came up with a long term plan to prevent the prophecy from happening. She separated her divinity and humanity. When hydro archon got separated, focalors appeared before furina and instructed her that she must play the part of hydro archon and ensure that fontanians will believe her. Furina doesn't have any idea of focalors' overall plan but she did her role anyway. Over the past 500 years, Furina made an effort behind the scenes on how to solve the crisis but she did not find the answer. Later on, Focalors appeared before Neuvillete and revealed the true purpose of Oratricrle Mecanique de Analyse Cardinale - it was to kill herself. To overthrow the hydro divine throne. Focalors has quite a lot of purpose why she must cease to exist
1. She believes in true justice. Focalors love her nation and its people just as much how Evegeria did in the past. Fontanians are being deprived of becoming a fully pledged human by Heavenly Principles. Focalors believed that fontanians doesn't deserve to suffer from the punishment of wanting to be human.
2. Focalors wants to end the suffering of Furina and make her live freely as a human after her task is done. Furina is just a human with a curse of immortality to mimic the longevity of an archon. To live that long must be really physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting. As we already know, we can hear Furina crying in the fountain of lucine "how much longer"? Just like us in reality, we feel frustrated when we have a problem we cant resolve.
3. Because of Furina's effort to make people of fontaine have faith in her, the oratrice accumulated enough power to kill a god.
4. Once Focalors is dead, her divine power will now return to its original owner - Neuvillete, the hydro dragon sovereign.
5. Iudex Neuvillete is the answer to the problem. He regained his full dragonhood because of Focalors sacrifice. Focalors has a lot of trust to Neuvillete who has the power to give verdict to people of fontaine to forgive them from their sins.

To conclude, Neuvillete was able to remove the primordial energies from fontanians thus the All-devouring Narwhal will have no interest to consume the people. And the people of fontaine are now fully human and no longer be affected by primordial sea. The water rose momentarily just like the prophecy but it receded eventually.

On the side note, Furinas pretending to be an Archon was necessary to deceive the heavenly principles. Otherwise, if they have known focalors plan they would have prevented her by killing herself in order not to return the powers to Neuvillete. Neuvillete wouldnt become a fully pledge dragon if this happened. He wouldnt able to cleanse people of fontaine from their sins and they would all dissolve in the water. Wait a damn minute. If the trial of Furina proved that she manifests signs of primordial sea when she touched the concentrated water then it only means she will also dissolve as well if she touched a real primordial sea???? So the prophecy wasnt accurate enough? It should have been focalors who was hiding inside the oratrice would have remain in fontaine. Focalors/Furina used to be an oceanid. She wanted to be become a human thus her wish was granted with the use of primordial sea. She just separated her divine and human counterpart. That only means Furina can also be dissolved and it is going to be Focalors will remain weeping in her throne not Furina.

Despite the relevations in 4.2 Archon Quest, I still have a lot of questions.
1. It is revealed that the All-devouring Narwhal came outside of teyvat. Since when did that whale appeared???? Was it already existing before Egeria commited a sin or it entered teyvat at a later time and eventually became "The Foul's - skirk's master" pet???
2. In the eyes of Egeria and fontanians, they see the prophecy as a disaster that is about to happen in the future but in my own opinion, heavenly principles see the prophecy as a long term plan to punish fontanians. If celestia is omnipotent, all knowing, can see the past, present and future, have control who leaves teyvat (just like what happned to the twins, they got stucked in teyvat) and have the ability to make things happen and not happen then surely celestia have control over the prophecy???
3. If the all devouring narwhal arrived to teyvat before Egeria commited a sin and celestia has control who leaves teyvat, did the celestia intentionally keep the whale to utilize its capabilities at a later time??? Make it dormant for a long period of time and use it to annihilate a nation??? Celestia is aware of the power of the whale and yet they just let it exist despite being a threat that could wipe the whole teyvat.
4. Of all people, why Childe was chosen to stumble upon a dungeon/abyss and awaken the whale unintentionally when he was a child? Did Childe happened to be nearby the area and celestia used this opportunity to awake the whale??? Is Childe really that special? What kind of connection does he have with the whale???

5. Surely coincedences must not exist if Heavenly Principles is omnipotent. Having unlimited power must give the God control over the past, present and future. Another bonus question, WHY IN THE WORLD THE PROPHECY HAPPENED WHEN TRAVELER ARRIVED IN FONTAINE???? I mean, see it in the games perspective story line not the game designer. Of all the dates they could choose from, why did the prophecy happened after 500 years when the traveler arrived in fontaine? Is celestia intentionally wanting to make the traveler as the witness of all the disasters that is happening for each nation??? Wherever the traveler go, problem comes after him. Did the celestia aligns the disaster from happening everytime the traveler is visiting a nation?? Is celestia purposely wanting to make the traveler witness every important events until such time time when we can finally meet our other twin and make us forcefully witness his/her sacrifice??? I have a feeling that the twins are being punished because they wanted to leave teyvat during cataclysm. Of all the descenders, no one was able to leave teyvat without the intervene of sustainer of heavenly principles. Thus making the other twin get stuck in the past and the other in the future. Celestia planned this all along to make their punishment long enough. What if someday we will leave teyvat alone without the other twin because he/she will sacrifice herself in order to overthrow celestia and make the world of teyvat in order. Is that why the other twin was labeled as descender and the other was recorded in Irminsul?
6. If Neuvillete cleanse the people of fontaine by removing the primordial energies from them so to avoid the whale from devouring them, does citizens of fontaine who are currently outside of their nation were also cleansed from their sin??? Well they were not present by the time when Neuvillete gave his judgment when he was floating in the air. Are fontainians who currently living abroad are technically oceanids and still have primordial sea remaining in them???

About why the heavenly principles or Celestia not doing anything at all, my brother has a theory that there are no one in Celestia anymore. So like, when we finally go there, we will find the thrones empty. I find it interesting and would explain why they are so quiet. I mean, The Seven is no more, how could they allow that?
