Hyperspin- Hypersearch Set Up

Hypersearch allows you to search for anything in your system. Its easy to set up and brings a lot to your system

Step 1: Download hypersearch
or

Step 2: Unzip it in your tools/utility folder

Step 3: If you want to use the same boarders and resolution, be sure to copy the json file and settings file. Be sure to back up the two files that came with the install

Step 4. If you are adding hypersearch to the wheel, grab my hypersearch call file from mega and set up hyper hq.

create a bat and convert it to exe with your launch key

Great vid! Besides your fix below in your comments below which I used (thanks); I had to go to Settings.json and set these

"StandaloneWidth": 1600,
"StandaloneHeight": 900,
Otherwise it was stretching the search across several of my monitors and was too big height wise to see the search button at the bottom. On to the next! thx!

Step 4.5 I believe the hypersearch_call.exe is mapped to the drive i have and may not work for you but to get around this. Instead of using the hypersearch_call.exe.... go to and open it. Replace the info below at the top and put in your hypersearch path. This will allow you to run hypersearch from the wheel. Under parameter be sure to use - in front of search

Hi my hypersearch loads up and I can move movement through letters etc but button to select letter don’t work. I think it’s a joytokey issue. How do I fix that?

Hello, I love watching you tutorials. Can you tell me if you have a video on how to set up favorites option in hyperspin ? I don’t have that option on a wheel settings or a script when you hit tab. Thanks.

I am trying to add systems to my hyperspin. I click on the system I want to add it after and I get a msg saying "choose an item from the list first" It wont let me add it. Anyone know why this isnt working?

Hypersearch only works once for me. I hold the search button and I get the omschreven search menu.

Then I search a title, launch and play it. Works great, but then I quit the game and then I cant get hypersearch to come up again unless I alt+f4 and relaunch hyperspin

When I run search ive noticed its not finding some of the systems. For instance its not pulling anything from Sega Genesis. Is there a reason its not finding everything? Genesis shows up in my wheel just fine so I know its all there.

I understand this thread is about a year old. I was able to set up HyperSearch and it does launch thru a Hyperspin wheel only to close a couple of seconds later. I was able to successfully set up Hypersearch using your MEGA download and the latest release from HS website. Any ideas what I may have done wrong and what I can do to fix this issue? Thanks for all you've done.

Apologize guys, the call.exe looks for my path only.

To work around be sure that once you are done setting up via the tutorial. Complete this step

how come everytime i try to download this it stops and closes the page ant the tools part and the rocketlauncher part and i have to try to start it all again whats up with it

hi thanks for the great video. I have one issue. The search works well and good. The issue I have is when I launch a game from the search. The game loads up but none of my controls work. I can't inert coin or start the game. Games controls work fine when launching game from hyper spin wheel

How do I edit the Inputs? I have accidentally added some commands to the “Action” command. How do I delete it??? I tried “delete” put I ended up adding “delete” as one of the commands.

how do I make it so that results only show ROMS that I have, IE i search "street" streetfight comes up as a result in mame but there are about differnt street fighters. if i play the wrong one i get an error.

Without this video I wouldn't be as far along as I am! I've got it showing up in my Hyperspin wheel, Can easily type in a search but.... when I go to launch a game it opens up RocketlauncherUI and not the game. Any ideas on how I can correct this? So close, Thanks.
