Beginners Guide to Sharesies in 2022 | NZ Investing Platform Series Part 1

Welcome to the first instalment in the Investing Platform Series where I walk you through all the functionality and screens of New Zealand and Australia's leading investment platforms. Today we're looking at Sharesies, which just surpassed 500,000 users in New Zealand, or 10% of the population!

Sharesies is a great platform, and a real success story in New Zealand entrepreneurship. They've created a platform with around 8,300 investments in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States (NZX, ASX, CBOE, NASDAQ, NYSE). I wanted to create a video that shows what you can do on their platform, which is useful for new users to understand what they'll be able to do once they sign up.

Some of the key functionality featured includes market orders, limit orders, market depth, currency movements, user settings, auto invest, and market screening through the thousands of available investments.

Hi Brent this is a great in-depth video on how to use Sharesies. I just have a few questions firstly dose the portfolio automatically rebalance if a stock goes outside it’s target allocation. Secondly is there a way to set up dividend reinvestment plans in Sharesies or do you just have set it up through the company or share registry. Thank you
