This is a brilliant concept, I absolutely see its necessity. I've been screwed a few times buying shit off ebay that didn't work, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be if that happened with no means of recourse. Crypto isn't just about removing the middleman altogether, it's about replacing him by automating trust. Imagine this technology combined with a logistics tracking blockchain that verified delivery had been made before releasing funds, or an immutable/unforgeable merchant reputation system that incentivized sellers to behave ethically in order to guarantee payment faster (like you mentioned ebay has) etc. Phenomenal stuff

This type of system is absolutely necessary for crypto to taken seriously and to be able to move to main st. Anyone who is afraid of this kind of system is probably a scammer and has reason to be afraid . Great vid as usual my friend.

You can do escrow on other crypto currencies including bitcoin. On bitcoin you use a multi sig where 2 of 3 have to sign. I’m invested in Cardano too but escrow is one of the most basic things you can do on a block chain.

Example: What if I sell an item to someone. It is in fully working order as I send it. The buyer receives the item, but says it is faulty/broken or the buyer breaks it (which I can't prove). The buyer returns it, the transaction is canceled and I get my ADA back. I now have lost some money to shipping cost and have a broken item on my hands.

How can scenarios like this be resolved or protected against?

I think we can have every confidence that, if we invest in Cardano/ADA we are investing wisely. The peer review of the research they’ve done and the methodical, step-by-step approach they take is both inspiring and reassuring. But I wonder, at what point can we expect a bit of a break-out in the price? I know I know, that’s what everybody wants to know.

How can some one argue that crypto is needed to run blockchain? And can we just pay miners or stakers in dollars or other fiat ? Why crypto is needed ?
