I recently bought the BenQ PD3225U as an alternative to the Apple Studio Display (I have a MacBook Pro 16 M4 Pro).

The M-Book mode is always advertised there. The picture is supposed to be almost exactly the same as on my MacBook Pro M4 Pro. But that is absolutely not the case. Details in dark areas are completely washed out and the colors don't match either. Not even with ICC-Sync and not even when I increase the contrast at 100% brightness.

In addition, no one has yet been able to answer exactly what the BenQ ICC profile does in the display settings of the MacBook.

For example, if you set MacBook Display P3 ICC + Benq Display P3 Color Preset

OR

MacBook Benq ICC + Benq Display P3 color preset?

Especially as both modes change the image. It is very confusing and should be clarified. Many users on the net are asking the same question and still have no answer.

Why is this not mentioned and explained in the manual?

BenQ support couldn't answer my question either and has probably referred it to experts. Let's see if I hear anything again.

I'm really a bit disappointed and may return the monitor and get the Studio Display after all.
