Maradona cradling the world cup is the greatest sporting moment in history. When a player effectively won a team tournament on his own. His exclusion from the 78' WC squad and the failure of 82' was the reason this moment shows unbridled joy like few others. Hard to imagine what records he would break in modern football but we know how boring that would be. To see him avoid the crazy challenges twice or more and cheat gravity to make that final pass or finish was the reason we loved him.
For those comparing Messi and Rondaldo to Diego, it's fair to say that both are the most exciting and talented players in the past 25 years and only Ronaldhino and Ronaldo9 could compete with either but seriously, ANYTHING that either of those four players could do, Maradona could do.

I was always a big cr7 fan and admired Messi. My dad kept talking about these great and especially Maradona. I looked Diego up and never seen anything like it. RIP legend
