Alex Murdaugh was convicted Thursday of gunning down his wife, 52-year-old Maggie Murdaugh, and son, 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh, after a panel of 12 jurors returned a guilty verdict after less than three hours of deliberations.

Murdaugh looked shattered as the clerk read the devastating verdict. His only living son, Buster, sat in the gallery, shaking his head in disbelief and wiping his face with his hand. But he did not appear to shed a tear.

Dr. Tracy Pearson joins LiveNOW's Shirley Descorbeth to discuss.

The man we saw standing there void of emotion is the real AM. He couldn't bring the tears because they served no purpose for him. JURY GOT IT RIGHT!

The defense lead him through direct like a baby. He knew how to turn those waterworks on and off. But, some of it was real because can you imagine seeing the result of what you have done to your family?

Did it or not, he knows what happened. I fully think this was a family matter. As in the whole family.

This man stole a settlement from Hakeem Pinckney. He was a student-athlete at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind and he played on the football team. He was deaf and was thrown out on his head, so he had a spinal cord injury. They operated on him but He ended up paralyzed, a quadriplegic. I feel no sympathy for him.
