Alex Murdaugh’s co-conspirator, Cory Fleming, spoke through tears as he addressed Judge Clifton Newman on Thursday. Fleming pleaded guilty to all financial crimes charges in both his federal and state cases. Prosecutors said Fleming helped Murdaugh steal millions of dollars of settlement from civil cases, including money from Gloria Satterfield’s family.

"I never thought I'd find myself in these circumstances..." do you mean you never thought you'd get caught. Bless his heart

No tears are going to change what he did. The greed is real.

He didn’t deserve their forgiveness although it’s much better for their own hearts and psyches to do so. Stealing from disadvantaged and disabled people is the lowest of lows. I hope the court threw the book at him.

These people are only sorry when they have to be held to account for what they've done.

It’s crazy how so sorry these folks are when they’re about to be sentenced. Were you that sorry when you spent the money on trips, expensive food and travel? Was taking that money worth spending the rest of your life in prison?

Good. I’ll bet his clients cried more than he did. And they had a reason to cry

He seems sincere but would he still be committing those crimes if he hadn’t been caught? If so, then he’s just sorry he got caught.

The guy stole millions of dollars and is only sorry because he got caught. It's wild that so many of you believe this con man's "apology", it's nothing more than self interest on his part.

That these attorneys were able to carry out these crimes for so long indicates the entire system was broken.

Something about all of this still doesn’t make sense, they were stealing money for years and the bookkeeper didn’t question it or point anything out to anyone, the people that worked in the bank who overlooked certain things and never questioned the funds or the advancements that he was requesting…idk, I just think there’s more people who are involved with this money scam 🤷🏽‍♀️

"Your honor, Judge Newman.. I am so sorry and upset that I got caught. I would have never admitted this if Murdaugh the murderer hadn't thrown me under the BUS. I lived the high life and now I am begging for mercy" - NEWMAN essentially gave him a life sentence.
Applause.

I have ZERO understanding and zero compassion for people like Cory Fleming who steal from vulnerable people. He puts on a show like his buddy Alex Murdaugh. He held back tears, and when Judge Newman pronounced the sentence, he showed his true colors. Look closely at his reaction! He didn't like the sentence, although he claims to have regretted it. Sincere repentance looks different. He disgusts me.
Cory Fleming has ZERO REGRETS. He only invited his friends to the courtroom because he was sure that he could influence the sentencing. So where is the regret here? He thought he would get an acquittal and go home and celebrate! He asks Judge Newman about mercy, and he himself had zero humanity and zero mercy when he stole the money of the vulnerable people. For me, 20 years are nothing compared to the mental pain he inflicted on his victims.

No one in the courtroom believes a word he is saying, nor should they. He's just trying for a lessor sentence.

I often wonder those like Cory Flemming, would still carry the disappointment, as he describes, if they weren't caught.. Doubtful...

He would not shed ONE tear if he was still stealing other peoples money!! The housekeepers boys were evicted into the street because of him and Murdaugh stealing. At least he's got 3 hots and a cot now. Those boys didn't have squat!!

I know we all make mistakes but taking from poor and disabled people there is something fundemantally wrong with a person who could do that, something at his core is without any compassion, feelings, kind of frightening.!!!

This is what remorse and accountability look like. Take note, criminals.

He’s not sorry or remorseful. He’s just sorry and remorseful because he was caught. True regret is doing it once, and never doing it again

They been doing this! At least now some accountability! The whole law firm needs to be investigated
