1461 quad review! explanations in the description:)

this is turning into a little series now... here's my review of the 1461 quad dr martens!

style: 8/10 - these are a super cute twist on classic dress shoes, and i find them very easy to style. they go with both casual and formal outfits, and i like wearing them for professional events! i would have given them more points if they had some sort of unique design/color, because obviously they are just plain black.

breaking in: 8/10 - these are a bit tight in the ankle area at first. but if you wear thick/2 layers of socks they break in pretty quick! i've had no issues with them past the first week, but of course that could be different for someone else.

fit/shape: 9/10 - these fit different shoe sizes really well without looking awkward! i find them very comfortable too. they can be hard to find your correct size in though, because they run big.

I love these shoes but they get ruined so easily. I just had to buy myself a new pair because the ones I bought not even 2 years ago got a hole in them and the coating peeled away from the shoe. You're supposed to buy the 'wonder balsam' for them which is so ridiculous to me because the shoe is already so expensive! but learn from my mistake and get the balsam and be prepared to maintain them :( or else you'll have an expensive mess on your hands...
