Court orders Najib to pay RM1.69bil additional income tax in summary judgement

The High Court in Kuala Lumpur has ruled that Datuk Seri Najib Razak must pay additional income tax totalling RM1.69bil to the government.

This is following a summary judgment that has been entered against the former prime minister.

Between 2013 and 2018 just before BN lost the elections, the Income Tax Dept was targeting lots of small business owners and individuals with large penalties. Most didnt even know why they were targeted, as they had not done any wrong. Later it was believed that because the government under Najib lost a lot of tax payers money paying up loans and bonds and payments to China, they needed to get the money from a readily available source. China promised to help, but with a catch! We give you money, but you give us mega projects. So Bandar Malaysia, ECRL, HSR and many other projects were born. So what is 1.69 billion to Najib? Nothing!
