Obviously I hope Raf goes somewhere he can do work he enjoys, but the thing that sticks out to me is that no menswear (and I think the Calvin stuff was pretty amazing).

Edit: I don't think he'll end up doing menswear just to be clear.

As much as I stannnn Miu Miu already, it would be nice to see someone else take over and maybe add a new dynamic to the brand tbh
I was tryna think of why they would ask anyone to take over cs you know, , Miuccia s been there since the beginning ¿ maybe it’s cs although Prada and Miu Miu are different brands, a lot of the collections still feel very Prada and very Miuccia which isn’t a bad thing but maybe they wanted to differentiate the brand a little more from the Prada group or just to raise sales and make profit cs Miu Miu isn’t as popular as Prada and obviously Rafs customer base would defo follow him. And I also can’t think of a better designer than Raf for Miu Miu

Miuccia and Raf did an interview together shortly before he accepted the job at Calvin where they kind of half jokingly talked about switching roles and designing for each others companies for a season or two. Not really saying that that's what is going to take place but clearly the two are already friends and have an appreciation for each-other's work so it could be a possibility. Would also be the second time in Raf's career he designed for a company owned by the Prada Group as he began his tenure at Jil Sander in the last year that the label was still owned by the Prada Group. Definitely have enjoyed this most recent Raf show but I kind of agree with a comment that came up in Karsten Kroening's videos about how Raf's work at other labels tends to be a little more creative than his own label, which I do disagree with to a certain extent but I will say I see him being a little more radical at other companies he's been at (CK205, the Dior collections) than his own label at this point, even though it seems the eponymous label is kinda getting back up to snuff after last seasons kind of disappointing greatest hits collection. Excited to see where ever Raf goes and does though!

I remember in a documentary raf talking about and kinda trashing prada after being asked about how he felt about Helmut Lang selling half of his label to the Prada group, it a was like "when you marry with Prada you have to make heels " or something along those lines . Idk how to feel about the idea of Raf at Prada
