Professor Tina van de Flierdt, Head of the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Imperial has set off on a trip to Antarctica to conduct research that will help predict the Earth's future.
The research, part of the SWAIS2C project, will recover key environmental information from the ice and sediment at two different sites on the Ross Ice Shelf.
