Показать описание
A cream nutella cheesecake sandwiched between two layers of moist delicious chocolate cake and covered with cream cheese/nutella frosting!
I would make the cheesecake and the cake the day before to allow adequate chilling and then make the frosting and assemble the cake the next day.
Cheesecake recipe and instructions:
2-8oz packages (450g) cream cheese at room temperature
1/2 cup (148g) Nutella hazelnut spread
2 tsp (10ml) vanilla extract
1/2 cup (100g) white granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/3 cup (83 ml) sour cream or greek yogurt
5 oz (142g) semi-sweet chocolate (melted and cooled)
In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the sugar and vanilla and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
At the eggs one at a time and beat until combined after each addition.
Add the sour cream and the melted chocolate and stir until combined.
Pour into a 9" springform pan and place the pan (with bottom covered with foil) in a larger pan.
Place in pre-heated oven and fill larger pan with hot water until it reaches about halfway up the sides of the pan.
Bake at 325F for about an hour until cheesecake edges are set and center is almost set and is slightly jiggly.
Shut the oven off, crack the door open and allow to cool in oven for about an hour. Remove from oven and pan and allow to cool to room temperature.
Cover and chill in refrigerator several hours or overnight.
Chocolate Cake Recipe;
This is a recipe my has been making for 50+ years and is the best chocolate cake you are likely to taste :)
It stays moist for several days after making it.
1/2 cup (57g) rolled or quick cooking oats
1 tsp (6g) baking soda
1 1/2 cups (325 ml) boiling water
1 cup (160g) all purpose flour
6 tbsp (70g) shortening
1 1/2 cups (293g) brown sugar
1 tsp (3g) baking powder
Dash of salt (I may have omitted this in the recipe)
8 tsp unsweetened cocoa (20g)
2 eggs
In a large bowl place the oats, soda and boiling water, stir.
Add in the shortening and allow to sit until cooled to room temperature. The shortening will be almost melted or very very soft.
Add in the sugar and cocoa powder and stir, blend in the eggs until combined. Add in the flour, baking powder and salt and stir until combined. The batter will be runny.
Grease two 9" cake pans.
Pour the batter into the pans, dividing the batter equally between the two pans.
Bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pans until you can handle the pans without oven mitts. Turn cakes out of pans while slightly warm and allow to cool completely.
Frosting recipe:
1 1/2 cups (339g) butter softened
6 ounces (170g) cream cheese softened
3/4 cup (222g) Nutella
1 tbsp vanilla extract
6 tbsp (45g) cocoa
5 1/4 to 6 cups (630 to 720g) icing sugar.
Beat butter and cream cheese together until creamy.
Add in vanilla and nutella and beat until combined.
Beat in cocoa.
Beat in enough powdered sugar to get a spreadable consistency or texture.
