(2 x 2) squared - (5 x 2 cubed) then 2 x 2 (brackets still there)
4 squared - (5 x 2 cubed) then 2 cubed (brackets on the right)
4 squared - (5 x 8) then 5 x 8 (brackets still there)
4 squared - 40 then 4 squared
16 - 40 = - 24

Greetings. The answer is-24. The first set of brackets works out to 16. The second set of brackets works out to -40. Now we will combine the results to get 16-40=-24.

(8÷ 4 ×2)⁷>squarèď - [5 (2×2×2)]= 16 - 40 = -24

I don’t know if I just had a happy accidental answer, but I did all of the exponents first.

(64 / 16 x 4) - (5 x 8) =
(4 x 4) - 40 =
16 - 40 = -24

Omg I actually got it right but I didn't use pemdas so why the f am I always being told to use pemdas !?? I just went left to right anyways if I would have used multiplication first which is what they preach, then I would have been soooo wrong, I got it right but I still Hate maths. I'm studying for my GED so I can get a job washing buses! like wtf? Grrr. All this slopes and equations are gonna come in real handy NOT

Teaching PEMDAS is rediculous. In ten years time about 60% of people end up doing multiplication before division. Hundreds of videos all over YouTube just adding to all the confusion.

I reject any equation without proper parentheses.

And I get that those who write tests love to drill down on precedent order of math operations. The analogy of strung out math equations are run on sentences. PEMDAS sucks!...
