Actually, the third book in The winter’s promise series is already out, it just hasn’t been translated from french yet. It’s called La Mémoire de Babel and it’s absolutely fantastic!
I’ve read all of it in French, and also looked at some chapters in english. I gotta say I found the translation to be a bit odd, and I also detected a lot of badly translated expressions. So if anyone had trouble getting into it, consider the translation to be a possible reason for that.

So many good books on this list! I’m currently reading A Darker Shade of Magic and it’s currently winter here, so can confirm it’s a decent winter read, too! I also adored A Winter’s Promise and Skyward. Such great books. I do still need to read The Name of the Wind. One day. 😂

One that has really been flying a little under the radar: We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal. It's such a rich complex world based on Ancient Arabia but with so much of its own lore and depth! And a great adventure once the story gets moving. Highly recommend
