Best rendition of The Guardian yet. That subtle beginning all building up to that awesome chorus.

Trivia: Ankoku Daishogun (Great General of Darkness), who wasn't voiced in his show appearance, is voiced in the game by Shozo Iizuka, who previously voiced his Mazinkaiser iteration (I presume that if "Mazinkaiser: Deathmatch! Ankoku Daishogun" ever gets into a voiced SRW, they'll probably reuse at least some of his lines from BX, like how in GC, Mazinkaiser Koji had some of his lines taken from classic Koji's many appearances).

As such, both 3DS SRWs have given a voice actor to characters who did not speak before (UX did this by casting Tessho Genda as Linebarrel's Deus Ex Machina). I wonder if a 3rd (and possibly last) 3DS game will follow suit.

They fixed it further in SRW V by including the Great General of Darkness, Mazinger Zero, Great Mazinger, Mazin Emperor G, and the Emperor of Darkness.... oh and a picture of Getter Emperor and Mazinger Zero. That game is great.... WHEN ARE YOU GETTING TO ZERO?

I would like to see a game were Shin Mazinger gets scrapped in the middle of a stage and then you get Mazinkaiser as an Upgrade.

I prefer OE's intro, but this version altogether is better.  Less absurdly trumpety.  And, on the subject of that combination - the only reason Ankoku Daishogun got through in the first place is because Kiba (who I think is supposed to be an undead Mycenaean that's come back to life at least twice?) broke open a hole with Iron Kaiser (Turns out it was a Mycenaean machine!).  But since it wasn't the full ritual, only Ankoku got through.  And they had to do that because the Hell King Gordon you kill ISN'T THE REAL ONE - Dr. Hell knew ahead of time of Ashura's treachery, and you kill a fake made IIRC by Pygman.  Of course, then Dr. Hell dies to someone who isn't you, so that's no fun.

Wait, what? The Mazinkaiser SKL/Shin Mazinger Z combination attack is real!? Or is it just them using their strongest attacks separately? Although I may be looking too much into this and it's actually not a thing.

Also, not really sure if you can fix an ending which isn't really conclusive (isn't it more of a cliffhanger that never really had a clear conclusion to it?), but I'll let you go with that idea...
