Looks like everything that they couldn't do in Little Nightmare was put into this Nightmare inducing game and I Love it

The Steam page’s descriptions have an emphasis on the word “hell” so maybe this is set in some sort of afterlife / purgatory or quite literally Hell itself. Maybe the monster animals are demons because demons in most depictions are portrayed as being animal-like and having animal-like attributes particularly with goats and pigs.

I think reanimation and mutation of dead life will be the main aspect of this game. At 5:48 we see the tree in the hallway move as the children approach. Could this tree, technically dead, somehow come back to life? This could mean that the buildings themselves could be dangerous. At 8:14 you can see that these are not just snake people, they are reanimated human skin. Although it is unclear where their bones and organs went. Of course, there is little information about the game and all this may be completely far-fetched.

The "snakes" look like bodies that no longer have bones

Definitely going to be a horror that acts as a commentary on society again!!! Love when Tarsier puts shit like that in their games, like what happened with the Little Nightmares series and their discussion of adult vs child ideology

You know the theory I have is similar to like the walking dead but it had a child with "the thing." When anything dies unnaturally, if left for a few hours it'll start changing into those things in the trailer. The thing that made me think like this is during the trailer the girl levitated and everything suddenly becomes all the exorcist like vibe.

I have a kind of silly theory for the girl:
I feel like she was dead before (hence why the brother said “i thought you were dead”) but somehow, this animal “virus” was able to save her. unfortunately it left some side effects, which i think happens throughout the game. i know this is kind of silly but I thought it was an interesting idea!!

3:51 the room with the many beds reminds me of the hospital room from LN 2

Games like these usually aren’t my thing but this actually looks so interesting. I’m guessing the kids fled their home after some freak accident happened with the creatures. And judging by the title it might be relating to the bad side of reanimating the dead or something. The scene with the big sheep reminds me of that concept art of that tilted broken house from the wilderness. Also I’m very curious if it’s co-op

Also anyone notice one of the kids wearing the Nome hat from the LN2 DLC?

3:33 he reminds me of the Coraline characters, the dad in particular.

My theory is that in this world, the dead animals have started to come back to life and drive out the humans who used to live there (probably as a result of a curse on the town, I'm thinking of a demonic entity that has taken up residence there) and are trying to take the place of the humans. Having the ability to communicate, they remove the skin of the humans they capture for themselves (the character seen at 3:33 could be a sort of Jack the Ripper or skin remover, at 8:15 the skins of the victims still seem to contain some sort of consciousness, and at 6:34 the skinless bodies thrown out of town).

8:19 Those aren’t snakes. They’re boneless reanimated human skins! You can see the limbs! 😱

Notice how in the scene with the bodies in the water, the guy with the bag on his head has his hand full steering the boat, but in the final scene, you see his lantern

Why am I more excited for ReAnimal and The Sound of Nightmares Season 2 than Little Nightmares 3 :(

I think the reason why Reanimal is hitting more with me & others than Little Nightmares III is (not only because it’s Tarsier, but) because the whole appeal of Little Nightmares is that it is the stretched & exaggerated view of the real world with real world inspirations & childhood fears. There’s a connection to nostalgia & childhood fears. So far, Little Nightmares III hasn’t really shown any of that childhood connection or real world exaggerations. It feels more like LN III is focusing more on the story & world rather than the themes & aesthetics.

I'm so excited for this I had a feeling this was gonna be a M rated version of LN and I was right hype is high

This game looks so scary already, i wonder how horrifying the lore would be

I’m 100 percent sure this is the story they actually wanted to tell from the beginning. Bandai absolutely stifled creative direction as far as gore and some horror elements.

There’s a big emphasis on sheep’s and pigs in the marketing. I think the characters are somehow linked to a farm or farmhouse in some way. Perhaps this is all a nightmare and this is how they perceive where they live? Even the houses on the cliff edge are made of old broken wood similar to that of a farmhouse. I personally wouldn’t like it to be “all just a dream” but it’s an idea. Perhaps the more human characters being linked to the city (the cinema) shows the fear of the unknown in the children’s minds. Even the boy having a sack on his head and the girl in a bunny mask?? Farmhouse anyone?? I’m onto something I’m sure

I have a feeling that this game is gonna take us (the player) through the process of a farm animal…going from a farm, to a factory, to a store.
Being that the game is described as taking place in a sort of “hell”, I imagine this game could be a commentary on the inhumane treatment of farm animals. Not saying that Tarsier Studios is going all PETA on us, but it’s just a small speculation. (Plus, I’d be excited either way)

Perhaps this inhumane treatment is being done by the animals to the humans, putting a twist on the whole situation.
Like…
The fat bodies in the water could’ve either been a result of water-decomposing (bloating and such), or they were fattened up on the farm to be slaughtered and eaten.

Once again, this is purely speculation.

I think I have a few theories just by watching the trailer. Here are some:

At the part where the line “I thought you were dead” played, I thought it was the sister at first. But now, I think it’s the brother. In one of the scenes (9:52) it looks like the sister is being possessed. And the brother may think she’s dying.

(7:17) I like the way you thought the monster was a butler or someone in a circus. But I thought he was a mailman, I don’t know why. He could also be a business man because of his tie.

At the cinema part, (3:22) I thought the thing he was dragging was one of the sister’s and brother’s friends. Only because, the outline of the thing the monster is dragging looks like the child from (2:25).
