How To: Remove Makeup Stains from Clothes | H&M

The last place you'd want your makeup to end up, is on your clothes. But when tragedy strikes it's important to know how to wash properly.

Follow these simple steps to make sure your clothes get a clean makeover.

Lipstick
Step 1: Blot with hairspray to dry it out. Rubbing alcohol works too.
Step 2: Let sit for 15 mins.
Step 3: Machine wash according to the care instructions.

Mascara and eyeliner
Step 1: Apply dishwashing liquid or stain remover with a soft brush.
Step 2: Let sit for 15 minutes.
Step 3: Machine wash according to the care instructions.

Foundation
Step 1: Dab with oil-free makeup remover, or shaving cream.
Step 2: Let it sit for a few minutes.
Step 3: Dab with rubbing alcohol.
Step 4: Rinse with water.

That's it! Your clothes should now be all clean again.
