Andre Drummond improved his FTs, there's no excuse for these other players.

I don't remember a year with so many rookies with crazy broken shots.

if your paid millions of dollars then you should practice on all aspects of your game. hell you don't have no excuses, they're paying you!!

Hit a damn freethrow ... you get paid way to damn much

Why shouldn’t you be able to expose a players weakness? Stop tryna soften the game’

This entire thing wouldn't be an issue if Simmons worked on his free throws. You are paid millions of dollars a year and you are shooting 55 percent at the line. That is pathetic.

It's 2021 and hack a Ben Simmons by the Wizards is still happening.

The bigger problem is that professional basketball players can't shoot free throws. Contracts need to have a clause that takes a ton of money away from you if you don't shoot 70% from the line. You are making the league look bad.

I love the nba but sometimes they make things so complicated and difficult when there's no need. Fiba have solved this situation years ago, intentionally fouling a player off the ball = technical foul, 2 shots and possession. Simple.

4 years later and still no improvement lmaoooo

Sure it makes the game unwatchable, but players who are getting paid millions but can't hit a free throw deserve to lose and the league should continue to suffer at the hands of these players until they've practiced enough to hit above 50%. Simple as that. Hack-a-shaq isn't really against the rules; it's no different from someone driving to the basket and getting fouled hard so they have to earn two free throws instead of making an easy layup- this just happens on a much larger scale. I think if the league does anything to prohibit this strategy, it'll just be bailing out the players who are not fundamentally sound and don't deserve their salaries. Come on, I know kids under 10 who can hit above %50 from the line.

That shit make the game boring but in the long run it'll help niggas cause they'll work on their free throws... look at Andre Drummond

The larger problem is that NBA players can't hit free throws. I hate the strategy, but it will continue to happen until the rules are changed.

the game shouldn't change rules to hide a players flaw. if the game the doesn't want these guys who can't hit a damn free throw then they should keep them in college to develope. There is no excuse guys who get paid millions of dollars can't perfect a free throw.

I'm a "Make your free throws" guy. You should be able to make at least 7 out of ten free throws. Simmons is still young though, so he has time. I really like what the Sixers coach did. He basically said "This is what they think of you. What are you going to do?" It would make me do whatever I can to be a better free throw shooter. Let's see what he does...

The “larger problem” is players not converting from the CHARITY STRIPE.
