I remember Luke telling C3PO to "SHUT DOWN ALL THE TRASH COMPACTORS ON THE DETENTION LEVEL", not "SHUT DOWN ALL THE GARBAGE MASHERS ON THE DETENTION LEVEL". Very strange.

This is one of the craziest Mandela effects ever, at 1:24 luke says “GARBAGE SMASHERS” instead of trash compactors. It’s in any clip of this scene including in the actual movie now

I love how C-3PO doesn’t ask why Master Luke suddenly wants garbage mashers to be shut down. He has no context as to why Luke is demanding this, but he hears the panic in Luke’s voice and knows it’s time to act, not ask. Kudos to him.

I think a lot of people miss just how much of a CLUTCH play this was on C3PO's part. R2-D2 is trying to hack the Death Star's systems... Don't try to specifically shut down specifically the detention level trash compactors... Shut them ALL down.
