The "understudy" sketch was pretty hilarious, especially on that night, it was one of the funniest ones of the night.

7:07 Jackals Assemble! Martin Short wasn't in the "original" of _Father of the Bride_ since the original version of that film was made in 1950. It starred Spencer Tracy in the title role, Joan Bennett, and Elizabeth Taylor. Martin Short (hilariously!) played Franck in the 1991 remake, which starred Steve Martin in the title role, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams (in her film debut), George Newbern, BD Wong, and Kieran Culkin.
