How ridiculously absurd to think that 5000 years ago the wheel didn't exist. You hear that now and it makes you think that certain people's brains still don't exist

Yes the Egyptians DID have wheeled chariots and carts and wagons thousands of years ago. Check any Egyptian museum. Please be careful with facts. Thank you.

It would still be amazing to see the steam pigeon taking flight and I could just imagine how it would have been viewed 2, 000 years ago.

The only thing that I know for sure is that the Egyptians moved huge blocks from hundreds of miles away and we cannot figure out how they did it today as well as Machining statues and granite blocks that we would have difficulty with our modern machinery to duplicate

The disc is a centrifugal gold panning device. Spin the pan, the water siphons off leaving the gold at the bottom.

Many modern inventions may have occurred long ago but the educational and social environment at the time kept these inventions from spreading and they were lost.

The first and only time I saw and played with obsidian was as a kid at a summer school in Northern California. It was literally everywhere and they taught us how to make arrowheads and other things. I just remember how bountiful it was.

Ancient people could use their imagination in ways we can only dream of. As the more we learn the more we can't find the answers that defy exsplination. As not all can be understood by looking in only one direction.

Egyptians used wheels - but not necessarily for transportation at that time because sleds, pack animals and man power were better suited to the environment at that time. The wheel isn't obsidian - the name Schist Disk should give you a clue that it's made of schist.

I think its a type of simple hang drum which used water or oil as a dampener. Not a candle holder at all.
