As someone who has a degree in Kinesiology and working with athletes at a D1 college, and my wife being one of those athletes, homeboy is correct in saying that unless you’re doing that strong man stuff, deadlift is not worth it. There are so many safer alternatives. It’s your body so you do you, but we use the same terminology, “the risk versus reward is not worth it.”

I have had lower back problems for years and started adding deadlifts to my morning workouts a few months ago. I can’t tell you how much it has helped me.

The fact that people go to the gym not to improve their fitness & athleticism but to get huge, defined muscles rendering you practically immobile whilst also dehydrating, and doing other fucked up things to your diet all for the sake of impressing others is embarrassing. Bodybuilding needs to stop being mainstreamed in social media. I’ll take the actual strongman’s advice thanks.
