Regarding resilience (50m mark), in the recent Freakonomics MD episode, Dr. Pierre Tariot mentions a rare Icelandic mutation (A673T ) that blocks abnormal amyloid processing and appears to be protective from AD.

Regarding validatebp and how those with hypertension are at very elevated risk of having cognitive impairment later in life, and that one can reduce impairment by aggressively treating blood-pressure in mid to late life.. any thoughts on treating high-uric-acid levels as a means to bring high-blood-pressure to optimal levels what would be the optimum blood pressure (120/80)?
