Bowie's best phase and tour. Total change up and reset while other bands were still riding the coattails of his previous phase.

[11 October 2021] Perhaps one of the greatest recorded performances of one of David Bowie's greatest songs.
It's strange: for the past two months or so, I've been listening obsessively to David Bowie's music, especially to *YOUNG AMERICANS* and *STATION TO STATION* , and to live recordings from Bowie's tours of 1974 through to the end of 1976. Those years, of course, were Bowie's darkest and sickest and cocaine-craziest years, and on some of the live recordings I've listened to, one can genuinely hear the darkness. On some of those live recordings, Bowie sounds rough in a way that's dispiriting to listen to. But on this recording, though - regardless of what his mental state or level of intoxication may have been - he sounds genuinely great. He sounds so very cool, and smooth and sweet, crooning "Oh, sweet name, you're born once again for me..."; so controlled and so on top of things. A pure performer; a true trickster, a star. And the band sounds brilliant, and the sound-quality of the recording is great. I am so glad this concert was recorded, and recorded well.

Oh how I’m missing him right now for some reason😢as I’ve been listening to this era of his brilliance, in tears.
The memories are just flooding back.
‘Still not done mourning the loss of him ether.
I just can’t seem to get past the fact that he is gone. I know many others strangely also feel the same. That’s odd in itself if one thinks about it. ‘Must be attributed to his amazing impact on so many of us.
As I’ve been fine over friends and family members who’ve moved on...🤷🏻‍♀️w/no problem.
But Bowie was so much more beyond ‘just’ a musical genius though...most don’t have any idea the degree to all of his accomplishments- including being the primary catalyst for bringing the Berlin Wall down; developing his own/one of the first Internet Servers (which the NY Yankees exclusively used); establishing the first form of advanced investment systems via Bowie Bucks (which the federal banks then adopted right after and systematically based their loans by); and even down to holding the first online musical contest.
There really is so much impressive “good” that he did- I wish someone would write a book of all the contributions that he made, along with the influence and impact that he had on people- from likewise musicians/professionals, down to his everyday, devout fans.
I really don’t think he had any concept exactly how much he was adored and revered by so many. Seeing his respects being paid & displayed all over the entire world, gave me serious chills.
He was almost prophetically ahead of the world by roughly 5 years too.
...Which also caused me to wonder what perhaps may happen 5yrs from when we lost him...?
😳We (may actually) have (only)
5 YEARS 🎶 (from 1/2016)😱😱😱

Thanks for sharing my tough time right now🙂 I know others have had their sad time too over him.
❤️✌️
