I have been making our mayo for a while now and I normally only do the egg and oil.

I sit in front of the oven when I use the broil because it freaks me out and I don't want to ruin whatever I'm broiling. LOL. I've only started using the broiler this year because of worry about it.

I am so trying the immersion blender for mayo! I never knew you could do that and because I’m still rebuilding my kitchen I’ve been making it in the stand mixer until I gota blender - which is kind a messy 😂

Just wanted to say Hi. I really enjoy your videos and been watching them since you moved to the property. We are also have been living in Katy before decided to sell our house in 2020 and move to an acreage. Still in Texas as well and gardening has been a bit challenging because of the extreme heat. I also have been watching Rhodes, Hollars and Jess since the same time I have found your channel, but at that moment I didn’t know all of you knew each other. I have been really inspired by you guys to continue working on my property, which hasn’t been easy since it took a while to build up our house by ourselves. We built a barndo. So kind of similar to you we are living not at the standard house. I have 5 kids and my main concern about being on the acreage is dealing with the snakes. How do you guys handle that? I see your kids often run around barefoot. And I’m scared to let them out without rubber boots. We slowly getting accustomed to dealing with snakes, but still it’s not very pleasant. Would really appreciate some advice or tricks if you have. I also would really like to get know some fellow Texan homesteaders as sometimes it can feel lonely. Majority of people think that we are crazy leaving Suburbs and huge house behind for a much smaller self-built barndo far away from city.

Dang girl, that looks amazing! Focaccia is the best. Those pools of olive oil become the best parts of the bread. I would like to suggest adding the herbs to the dough, you can also add dehydrated tomato julienned to the herbed dough, and with that spread on it, WOW!!! Years ago I worked at a bakery and I added many different things to the dough. Top it with a light sprinkle of flake salt before you bake it. I couldn't keep enough baked and we always sold out.

Loving this!! Definitely gonna try this! Can I ask where you found that cast iron skillet with the long handle? It's so much easier when the handles are long!
