This was originally taken from another concept I wanted to do, but since I'm not sure that will ever happen. I turned it into a side story instead, taking place in that universe. lol Let me know what you think :)

The ending is actually pretty bittersweet considering the beginning. Even after all the times she failed to take care of animals for long periods of time she still thinks that taking care of this merchild (who could grow up to give men an agonizing death via offspring) will be worth it.

Some questions here... Now was the patient a Merman who gave birth to a clutch of eggs, similarly to how a male seahorse gives birth or was he a human host to a parasitic species of Mermaid that happens to lay their eggs in a victim?

I'm a retired U.S. Merchant Marine Sailor/Officer, Great Lakes and the High Seas. I saw a mermaid on Lake Michigan in 1978 when I worked on an iron ore carrier for Inland Steel, and Ive seen them on the Pacific Ocean while crossing on voyages on container ships between Long Beach California to Guam and China in the Far East. I have them in pictures.
