Today, I am starting a brand new series of educational videos that, hopefully, will help you with your outdoor adventures, whether it is expedition planning, simple hiking or backpacking trip, and of course, contribute to your survival skillset. Today, we will talk about route planning.

In this video you will learn how to use CalTopo map, how to plan expedition routes, how to export routes and waypoints and how to upload routes to Garmin GPS devices, in this instance, Garmin Foretrex 601.

Very informative and easy to follow. Can you please show how to your track. Also my phone was in partial sleep mode so part of my tracks were straight instead of actual ground covered.
