Fig tree borer (Ceramycidae) long horn beetle

We are in Kyushu, sub tropics. Have checked all the other fig trees but it only appears to be on this one which was the original cutting received three years ago.

Prior to the rainy season I do the rounds and check the plants bark for external incisions in predominantly previous years growth (but not always) if incisions are found I thrust a stiff wire into the incision and wriggle and twist the wire a few times. This has been very effective. I have observed Apriona rugicollis stripping bark in 2019 (edit April 2022)

I had these in one of my figs. The best thing to do is cut it well below the damage and let the tree regrow.
