Hey, one tip to create a new file in a new folder in VSC is to click new file and type in new_folder/new_file. VSC is smart enough create the folder and file.

4:48 small tweak: If you create a file 'css/main.scss' in vs code it will create the directory 'css' for you

BS5 looks amazing, I love the flexibility and the idea to create your own framework via utilities, using a framework.

I've been using bootstrap since 2017.
I never know what popper do
but bootstrap tells me to include it. so I included it.

Very cool! I use bootstrap rarely for simple projects and I didn't notice that bootstrap 5 is on its way but now I'm looking forward to use it. The $utilities looks very promissing! Thanks for the short introduction.

I did use Bootstrap but not anymore, but now I’m excited for Bootstrap 5!

Thank you for this quick first look. Dropping jQuery and IE 10-11 support are both definitely good things! And gives Bootstrap more flexibility which it clearly lacked. I'm going to use it in more projects now - the main reason is that it is going to be more lightweight as you mentioned. It seems like there's also not too much to get used to in this new version if you had experience with this css framework before.

Wow, I'm really excited about these new features... I use bootstrap a lot in almost all my projects. Can't wait to explore v5.

I am working on a project that used bootstrap for everything, there were offsets created by bootstrap, and at some point the implementation went down, similar components have different classes to reach the "same" style; what I did is use flexbox, removed all boostrap classes and everything just fitted correctly again (also adjusted the structure of the HTML a bit), we are using a global style (which the client wanted in the first place, not bootstrap classes everywhere), so you need to be careful with bootstrap, might not be the best fit for your project if its too big and have a ton of components.

Yesterday I was searching for bootstrap alternatives, but now after finding out that alpha was released, I guess I'll stick using it! Thanks!

I know this is only one 'new' feature but its cleaner and easier to just use Sass @for loops for something like this.
