After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth... 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.

Makes sense the writers of A Quiet Place were behind 65! This movie is kinda similar even to A Quiet Place: Part 2. You've got the reluctant guardian who becomes a fierce father figure (Mills/Emmert) to the little girl character who doesn't say much (Koa/Regan), trying to survive what are (to them) alien monsters (dinosaurs/the death angels) only for the male father figure to get his leg injured towards the end of the movie and nearly make the ultimate sacrifice to save the little girl, before the little girl comes to his rescue and fatally stabs the monster to help kill it!

That’s a Fasolasuchus, it’s based on the one from real life, but more muscular, and has four fingers on each front hand, 10 meters high, and its body is a Rauisuchian, as the Wikipedia says it resembles a giant Rauisuchian with theropod proportions.
Fasolasuchus isn’t a dinosaur though.

As much as these dinosaurs are all treated as science fiction in movies such as jurrasic park and this we still have to remember that these are movies Based on real living things even If they’re not science accurate

I never needed this movie to be ground breaking.
My wife and I went on a Friday night for a good time, We both love Adam Driver and Dinosaurs so we were very pleasantly surprised to find this fit our needs.
Love the concept, loved the pacing and the child actress didn’t annoy us 😂. We had a good time 😁👍🏽

This whole scene feels so rushed

The only interesting thing is the reveal of the not-T.rex being the thing that attacked them in the cave and possibly has been stalking them from the beggining, and even then it feels undermined by the uninspired creature design

This film was the closest to capturing a reality that many dino movies don't even scratch.

There are millions of different species on Earth during any given era, and we only know of a miniscule FRACTION of what existed 65 million years ago. This means if we ever managed to time travel back there, there would be SO much we've never seen.

This film only had a couple of species that were made up for the movie, but that was very welcome for me compared to other films that star the same species we know of over and over again.

It's 2023 and we know dinosaurs didn't have to look like bipedal crocodiles. Hope one day we'll get a dinosaur movie where dinosaurs look more alien than what we're used to. I'm talking colors, feathers, fatty tissue, beards, mustaches, muttonchops, colorful scarfs, top hats, spats, hickory walking sticks, chirping instead of roaring etc.
