The Rust Recoil Update Had to Happen

The feeling I get when I watch old recoil clips. Literal heart break.

It’s sounds good on paper that any player can just get on and not worry about recoil control, until those ‘any players’ are beaming from their roof.

I don't think the recoil change was the deal breaker for a lot of players, it was the fact they removed the ability for ANY server to use the old recoil - which is what clan servers such as Vital & Atlas were going to keep using as to satisfy their player base. Yet, they went ahead and removed it entirely which kind of fucked the game for a bunch of diehard fans who poured thousands of hours into the game.

People talk about skill but most situations in Rust aren't decided by on how good your aim is:
* You are seen first, you will die unless the other guy fails miserably
* You are solo and you see a duo, you will die 9 out of 10 times unless you have better guns or it's a primitive fight
* You go outside your base or a monument, there's a guy camping with a DB in a room
* You are roaming, there's a roof camper somewhere ready to snipe you

It's very rare that you see "fair' fights in Rust

This straight up gave me flashbacks to the first video i ever saw of you. you spawn in a decaying base, grab a custom, and 30s into the video you triple or quad dink some guy. one of the quickest subs i’ve ever given in my life

they should honestly make a option to add old sounds with the guns back as a command or option, i miss the old ak and mp5 sounds

I started playing rust just a week before the recoil update happened. I remember that the ak was literally not controllable. Then it made the game so much easier that now I wish I played way before to learn the old recoils...

Rust now:
No reward
No effort needed
why would i waste time for no reward from plaing
nothing more REWARDING than missing shots when your crosshair is on a guy

It's crazy how bad they can make a gun in rust. Like I thought the custom would be the worst but the mp5 competes now. A few months ago I found a way to play old recoil and there are still people on there hosting a server or two with an ok amount of players which rlly makes me remember how much I missed it.

if they kept everything but changed the recoil pattern easier for the new people then the game would be more fun. Im tired of having to crouch to shoot it exposes you to get shot at easily

Bro right when i had fun and started getting crazy with the recoil, it changed. i was able to control it so good i didn't even have gear fear.

Years playing this beautiful game till this ass update, ofc i quit old rust will always forever in my heart

the actual issue at the time was the buffs on attachments, not the recoil itself. but they had to change everything somehow to look more like fortnite
