In early 2019, still recovering from the awe and inspiration brought by Queen's biographical movie "Bohemian Rhapsody," which was released at the end of the previous year, I received a recommendation from Xiami Music's AI radio of a song. At first glance, it lasts for 8 minutes, which I thought was a bit too long. Before that, the longest song I had listened to was "Free Bird," which lasts more than 9 minutes, and it was because of the movie "Kingsman." Most of the songs I had heard were less than seven minutes long, and I wasn't patient at all. I thought of skipping to the next song, but after listening to the first ten seconds of the prelude, I couldn't bring myself to do it. The initial guitar chords accompanied by the flute's melody had a certain magical quality that drew me in, compelling me to continue listening until the prelude ended, and when the lyrics began: "There's a lady who's sure, all that glitters is gold, and she's buying her stairway to heaven." I decided to listen to it all the way through.

Yes, that song was "Stairway to Heaven," and back then, I valued lyrics quite a bit. I always thought there was some story or symbolism behind the lyrics of this song. Later, I learned that Led Zeppelin's lyrics were somewhat spontaneous, but the line "Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on" seemed to make sense. In terms of melody, my favorite part was the solo from 6:22 to 6:44.

Perhaps it was because from the end of 2018 to the first half of 2019, I was preparing for the college entrance exam, and those memories of striving were still vivid. Maybe it was because, even though I was tired at the time, I had a clear goal, and my scores in various exams, no matter important or not, were generally decent. I consistently ranked in the top five in the class, even reaching the first place once during a mock exam. This brought a sense of honor. Since falling in love with this song, I've listened to it almost every time before doing something significant. Each time I listen to it, I feel calmer and more confident.

It's said that you should listen to Led Zeppelin sooner or later, whether it's morning or evening. To some extent, I should thank Xiami, which is no longer around, because a random recommendation introduced me to Led Zeppelin early, and it made me hear my all-time favorite song, no contest. So far, my second favorite would probably be "April" by Deep Purple.

If Queen opened the door to rock for me, Led Zeppelin deepened my understanding of rock. After that, I began actively exploring well-known rock bands and artists like Deep Purple, The Kinks, Black Sabbath, Metallica, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, U2, and more. I also ventured into contemporary music with a relatively fresh style, such as The Fin, Peach Pit, and even more rebellious, carefree and nonchalant styles like Morden Cinema Master and No Party for Cao Dong.

AI generated images by midjourney was something new for me, and I got to know it last autumn, sort of fun for me.So the very first thing I came up with it was this vedio, that's how it came out.

I grew up in a generation with this song by Led Zeppelin, being both the most beautiful rock anthem and yet despised song, due to anyone with a guitar thinking they could play it. I had tuned it out and removed it from my internal playlist. Now, at nearly 70 years old, I feel blessed to have found this amazing artificial intelligence adaptation . Still the best song ever written. It is the best song ever written if for no other reason that it was 8 minutes long and it got high rotation radio when radio only played songs under 3 minutes.

It wasn't a single because Led Zeppelin didn't release singles. In fact, the bean counters at Atlantic Records insisted that Jimmy Page whittle it down to around that 3 minute mark and their manager Peter Grant told them to piss off.

Back in the 80’s the go-to Rock and Roll radio station in Nashville, Tennessee — my hometown — was WKDF. All of us metal heads listened to it religiously. The station routinely held contests where music fans would call in and vote for the best Rock tunes of all time. This song won every time! No other song ever had a chance.

Never listened to the lyrics word for word before, but have always loved the song. I'm like this about a lot of songs from my generation and I enjoyed the music even thought I didn't always look for the meanings and deeper thoughts of the artists! The AI images really do send a message.
