The Beosound 9000 is the coolest audio component ever!
Something I always liked about it is how the other multiple CD playing/changing systems were always incredibly ugly and naff and nobody would have expected something that could play/change multiple CDs would ever look good, then B & O came along with the Beosound 9000.

Steve, Having just bought one of these back from a friend, to replace a BeoSound/Master 5, I really appreciate what you're talking about. However, having sold dozens of these units when new from our store here in Denver, I would always use the AUX as an output for non-powerlink setups simply because you never need to worry about the volume issue if you're using another preamp. And you're not "using up" the AUX port if you only hookup the Output side, leaving the Input side completely free for other sources. I was at the world premier for the BS9000 in Paris at the US dealer meeting in 1995. It was a very exciting time.

I have no doubt B&O will bring these back eventually. The way trends and design are going, leads right back to this kind of timeless design

Great video thank you. I love the older B&O gear, especially the even older 1970's era. Wonderful units.

Beosound is one of my favorite pieces of Bang and Olufsen hardware followed by the Beolab 5 speakers.

I used to own this Beo9000 when they first launched. The shocking thing about this CD player was the glass panel kept dislodging from the holder. The glass panel fell out and crashed onto the floor. It was replaced a new set but the problem persisted

Steve - I am contemplating buying the BO 9000 from an online site but there is a note from the seller that reads
Note: The cd player is not working, and requires a PCB circuit board - is it worth the risk and replace the board?

Speakers in working order

Thanks Steve for all!
I have a question please:) i have bought a 9000 and it seems that some CD are glitching

It seems that the problem is from the CDs themselves because some CD are working on every CD slot but the one glitching are glitching in all positions…

Is there some format that is not supported?

It is a MK1 ondel

Hi Steve, totally agree with you... fantastic system but I need your help. I recently moved my unit from our TV lounge to our bar. When iI reconnected the system I found that I had very faint volume even with the unit turned up to full. Do you prehaps know what has occured and how I can reslove this issue. I did nothing other than pick it up and move from 1 room to another?

Hi Steve, great video. I have a 9000 that I repaired and Im trying to connect to the dac on my system. For some reason the digital output is not working or not enabled. I dont have a remote to factory reset or enter any service codes. Is there any other way? Would a factory reset help or is there a way to enable the digital output?

Excellent video, Steve! I have one question, how can we connect B&O 9000 wirelessly to a pair of speakers ? do I need a Bluetooth transmitter or Chromecast device?

Well done Steve. I would be interested in BS9000 video solely on this model. I have one. It is mounted vertically on a small chimney breast with absolutely no wires or anything visible. As a piece of industrial art you understand. I love the DL designs. I'd be all eyes for the video. Many thanks. Bw Mike.

I fell in love with beolab18 at first sight and started purchasing Bang and Olufsen. After I saw the beosound9000, I purchased a product from the UK as a second market in Asia. I haven't tried the connection yet, but I don't know the pin code. I think the purchasing agent doesn't know the pin code, is that ok? And I'm planning to put it in the living room of my new house, but do I need to use a beolab transmitter to cover the wires as much as possible? It was recommended at a Bang & Olufsen store. thank you so much for the video
