Monterey Marriott Hotel Review

A detailed review of the Monterey Marriott located in downtown Monterey California just south of the San Francisco Bay area. This hotel is a really great Marriott with recently remodeled, clean, and big rooms. It is within walking distance of the Monterey Convention Center and popular tourist destinations like Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Additionally, it's near the beautiful beaches and scenic drives along 17-Mile Drive.

You do not have to park at the hotel which is expensive, you can park a block away at the Downtown West garage for $12/day

I liked how the windows can open as well. Just like the windows at Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle [Downtown].

I agree about the road noise. We were facing downtown.

Great property! Took my in laws here for an anniversary trip back in 2019. They upgraded them to the rooftop suite with a massive outdoor pavilion overlooking the ocean. Breakfast buffet was top notch. The rooms needed a refresh and it looks like they did a great job with renovations!

That hotel looks quite nice! I like the views from the room and its central location. I agree that valet-only parking is not something I like especially when it is rather pricey.

I find it very strange how some so called luxury hotel brands like Marriott provide a mini fridge but not a small microwave also. Hyatt hotels are also guilty of this. Many less expensive hotel brands like IHG & Choice normally include microwaves with their mini fridges.

You would think they could put in better windows but maybe the fact that they open causes them to be less sound resistant. I am not sure how that works.

0:38 “parking is 100% free even for valet if you are a Globalist” is what I would’ve expected to hear if you’re staying at Hyatt. But alas, this is Marriott so you’re #bonvoyed $40/night - more expensive than Disneyland parking!
