Quick Tip: The Real Reason You're Too Tired to Work Out

This video is just a little 'quick tip' that may help you to have more energy during workouts. When we try and train and find ourselves too exhausted, we often assume something is wrong with us. Maybe we're getting ill, maybe we lack willpower.
Nope! Most of the time you're tired because you're doing too much, or you're over stressed. If you want to be successful in your training goals, then you need to address that first. This is something that's been true for me recently, which has led me to improve the way I juggle and manage tasks. More efficiency = more energy = better workouts.
These quick tips are intended to help tide everyone over between the bigger videos. I hope you enjoy them :-D

Yeah, found this out the hard way. No vacation for 10 years, 60 hour work weeks, multiple 24x7 obligations. Comes a point where there are no more reserves to make up for the day to day deficit. Finally brain says fu dude, you're on your own from here on out.

I have trouble with this as well. Sometimes when I start to workout I just suddenly feel mentally exhausted. It irritates the hell out of me because I really want to workout on a regular basis rather than just doing it when I feel motivated.

Tracking your nervous system activity with something like HRV is a great way to monitor your stress. It's not perfect and has a few caveats, but if I feel 'off' and my HRV is lower than baseline, I have an idea of what's going on in the body and can justify taking it easier for a couple days.

Great video and so pleased I just found this channel!

You’re correct about emotions draining your energy.
Also, for me I find if I over sleep, I feel more tired.

I'm here watching this video because I was too tired to run even a single mile today and feel pretty crummy about it. I had a good workout yesterday and am physically tired and sore from it, but I know I could have pushed myself to run more. Its really hard to get over the mental fatigue somedays and when its paired with physical exhaustion I think its best to recharge and do a light activity at home as something to keep the routine of exercise unbroken.
For me, its jumping without a rope for total of 10 minutes or running in place or some other basic callisthenic routine with low reps. I do them as half heartedly as I want but I get them done and I don't stop until its over. If you've skipped the gym today do some burpees, squats, and pushups and keep that exercise streak going

Balance, being well organised, self-observing (knowing for example when to stop for a regeneration/rest or when to change something or get rid of a habit that no longer serves us, meditation, taking some time to "be", "exist" in silence without overthinking, not letting self to be driven by emotions and instinct reactions, especially emotions like anger or sadness etc.) are the keys to get "everything done" and feel at least good and satisfied.

I work monthly often around 180-200 hours, developing my band and vocal activity (vocal yt channel, doing vocal trainings for people around the world, creating own training programs/methods for extreme vocal techniques), diving into spirituality, learning about psychology, training calisthenics and taking care of my loved ones of course and doing few other minor things and sometimes it is hard, often more in a mental way to do literally "everything" but what helps is to stop before a critical point, take a break, a real chill, release from the pressure, from the stress that "i must" this or that and just let the thoughts to flow, inhale deep and become the one with the present moment like mind/body/soul and reality connection.

And what helps to not come to the point when self can realise that is going to "break" because of being kinda "overwhelmed" by so many things to do is meditation, diving into self, letting the thoughts to flow and just "be", melting in reality, being formless/shapeless etc., aware of truths/ values like love (also self love), balance, higher conciousness etc. It can bring a real relief and inner peace that spreads also to what is "outside".

Yeah, i wrote some elaborat shit now heh cheers to anyone who red this! :D

P.S. Here is my channel:

Thank you for the video, I am interested in.
Another title: "Why we are frequently tired?". We can also feel tired when we are bored. Here's my answer: we do too much of activities we do not enjoy, and too little of what we enjoy (the one we sing & dance with). And we struggle too much (mostly for worthless activities).
Instead, we can do what we consider we need to do, only thinking of the good parts of them, and improving the other parts. And do most of the time what's good & beneficial for us & our nears. With joy, enthusiasm, care.

I think about this subject a lot and note my energy levels down each day along with food. I agree with everything in the video, if you have done all you can from a mental aspect then I guess it's either training or nutrition. I have found for me that I can have a bit more energy if I eat less carbs mid day before training and more carbs on rest day. Great video again btw.
