Spring Dance Concert Sneak Peak

Videographer Ann Basu ’20 has been following the preparations for the Spring Dance Concert, a much anticipated yearly event.

This year the show runs from May 3-5, at 7:30 p.m., in Pickard Theater. Tickets can be picked up at the Smith Union.

Students from the Bowdoin College Department of Theater and Dance will perform original works choreographed by faculty members Aretha Aoki, Gwyneth Jones, and Vanessa Anspaugh. The program will also feature student choreography.

Guest Katy Pyle will perform original work. Pyle is a lesbian choreographer interested in exploring gender through a contemporary lens in the traditional form of ballet.

The show is sponsored by the Alice Cooper Morse Fund for the Performing Arts and the June Vail Fund for Dance.
