The BEST test and the BEST way to learn a machine is just get out there and DIG. That's what we're doing here. We are running the machine default right out of the box. Keep in mind default is not the best for all types of targets. READ THE MANUAL. This setting will rule out a lot of gold because the discrimination is set too high. This test is to show you can get the machine out there on the soil with little to no fiddling and start finding relics.
