Tour the Dachau Concentration Camp near Munich Germany with me. You will see the extermination showers, the crematorium, the barracks, and more. You will also learn about the types of experiments that were conducted here and see the living quarters and how they changed during the course of the war.

This is a heavy-hitting video. You can even notice my demeanor change from the beginning of the video to the end. I don't know if I will go to another concentration camp or not after this; it's quite depressing to see what we are capable of doing to one another.

I agree with this person's sentiments towards the end of the video. That place just makes you feel hopeless and you can tell just by being there that something horrible happened. I know from personal experience because I too have been to Dachau. I have never felt as sad as I did since I visited there in my entire life. Seeing this video triggered the memories I have of being there, and they are not happy ones. If you still do not fear giving government too much power after truly thinking about what happened in that dreadful place, you are either blind or simply ignorant. I can't even really imagine what it must have been like to be one of the allied troops who liberated that place and to experience the real shock and horror of what was going on there.

very humbling and sobering experience.. makes you grateful and thankful for the life you live... you may not have much.. but you are alive.. and hopefully not somewhere like this... you have treasures beyond what many could only pray for.. soo, get down on your knees and thank the Lord Jesus Christ for alll that you matter how meager you may have thought it was.. before you watched this....

I went there in 2005 when I was stationed in Germany coming  back from Garmisch. It was a real eye opener. One of the grounds keepers tried to tell us the "showers" were closed. We went in anyway and it is eerie and very small. I read they would kill around 120 at a time in that room. Of course, the Germans say the room was never used. 300, 000 people just disappeared in that one camp. I was amazed at how well hidden the big place was because we drove right past it. The trail leading to it was behind a bus stop when we checked it out. If the Germans had their way, they would get rid of all the camps throughout Germany but the United Nations make them keep them up for remembrance purposes.

The one reason every free person should visit Dachau is to permanently sear into their brain: "NEVER AGAIN!"

If you get a chance, read a book called “Christ in Dachau.” It was written by a Catholic priest whom was imprisoned there (and briefly at Sachsenhausen as well if memory serves). He wrote about everything he experienced. Truly horrifying. He offered Mass as a prisoner in the very chapel seen in this video.

I am surprised that visiting these places does not cause more people to have a mental breakdown from being exposed to the depravity that is humanity. I would think for many it would be a traumatic experience.

My uncle was one of the liberators of Dachau, 42 Div. Absolutely outraged at what they saw. Accused of going berserk and killing every SS man they could find, surrendered, or not. Luckily, Gen. Patton stepped in and had the records destroyed.

I wish you wouldn’t have use the term “creepy”. I know it’s not helpful to pick apart syntax, but “creepy” has the connotation that something is putting YOU in imminent danger...and cheapens the awful reality for those people. “Somber” yes...”creepy”...no.
