Something similar happened to my grandfather: He never uses his fireplace so he kept the glass door closed. Well, I guess the was a hole in the backside of the fireplace & a raccoon managed to get inside of him. The raccoon eventually had babies & my grandfather heard them making noise so he opened the fireplace to see the family of raccoons living in there.

I love racoons so much ❤❤❤!!! Unfortunately they are considered as invasive here in Germany and they are being hunted 😔... I live very rural and I feed them secretly...

We had raccoons in our attic in Florida TWICE! LOL The best way to get rid of them naturally is "peppermint extract" at the entrance. Does not hurt the babies and raccoons don't like it, so Mama will automatically move her babies just like this Mama did. It costs a lot less than having the pros do it.
