Minecraft UHCs we're once a very popular gamemode on many different minecraft servers, but these days the gamemode is barren, with barely any players and overrun by cheaters. So what happened?

Uhc has changed a lot honestly the old uhc we're the best

As someone whos been playing Reddit UHCs for 6 years now it's very different from when I joined even, a lot of old players have quit and new ones come in. And the game has progressed to be a lot more fast pace than before, with scenarios like CutClean, Hastey Boys, Timber, etc.

In 2019 during the Minecraft revival, Reddit UHC saw a huge resurgance in older players returning 2 months before the big Minecraft spike where the older players stopped playing again and the huge surge in new players started, which made Reddit UHC a lot more popular after the 2018 dead year where the community was almost dead.

And then again during the lockdowns the player counts on Reddit UHCs have shot up. I couldn't tell you if there are more playing Reddit UHCs now compared to before but the biggest 1.8 Reddit UHC server got almost had 60, 000 unique players play during march-july 2020

Honestly I didn’t know UHC was so popular outside of Mindcrack. I’ve almost never watched any other UHC besides them.

I used to love watching UHC’s from the cube or from Xnesterio’s groups. That was the peak of Minecraft for me

Wow, I was just watching this video out of chance and you mentioned the UHC game mode SkyHigh! (I created that when I was 14 years old, almost 9 years ago now!!) How crazy... the name has stuck all this time. I was just a kid back then, crazy how time flies.

a few weeks into the lockdown where i live, UHC and Randomizer UHC would show up in my reccomened all the time. it was to the point where Wisp, TapL, KrustyDavid and XNestorio were my main youtubers that id watch. I watched Hypixel uhcs the most, until the servers were plagued by hackers. i still watch wisp and TapL play UHC, but the other youtubers went in different directions to the point where i dont watch them anymore, but i still have a respect, and some twisted form of nostalgia watching their videos

I remember watching Cube UHCs all the time when i was younger. I love watching your videos, and honestly i've been waiting for a Cube SMP mention for a while now! Some of my favorite content came from that group :)
