Re agenda; I recommend the End of Law podcast - on Alexandre Kojeve (one of the EU architects) by Jeff Love. It’s a bit long, and not a particularly easy listen but I think it gives some rather illuminating insight into the Administrative State (I believe that’s Kojeve’s term, much as Public Relations was Edward Bernays’s). For a deeper understanding of the universalist bureaucratic trend I recommend McGilchrist’s Hemisphere Hypothesis.

The agenda is mainly nerds... the types that never grew out of Dungeons and Dragons, the world is a ‘game’, and it just happens that left brained people and acquire a lot of power in the Administrative State and resent being nerds
