It would be cool to paint the gold on the outside before spackling. That way, the texture of the glass would still show through on the inside and look more like the inspo pics:)

If you are hanging any lamps or electrical appliances always remember using an external wire, never hanging it from the actual power cord.

Amazing idea! Curious why you didn't paint the outside instead, before adding mud, as this would allow the inside to never scratch as well as have a professional look with full gloss almost appearing as natural gold
