My first dog was a Bohemian. He was great, even kept the other dog in line when he decided to be bitey to us. (New dog we got off Craigslist). However, he was unruly when he was on a leash. & Very protective in the car. He was also an excellent escape artist.

The german breed Hovawart ( Hofwart) means, Farm warden' . Warden: In german Wart/ Wärter. This also in german language countries rare and often unknown breed is allowed as service dog for police or military, but i have never seen one. The in Germany (!) for police use allowed breeds are German Shepard, Malinois ( one variation of Belgian Shephard), Rottweiler, Dobermann, Boxer, Hovawart, Giant Schnauzer and Airedale Terrier. But i have neer seen last five, snd Rottweiler only rarely.
