Overview of Gallbladder Carcinoma

Gallbladder cancer is a rare malignancy representing about 50% of biliary tract carcinoma. These are highly fatal cancers, with a survival rate of 17.6%. Early-stage gallbladder carcinoma is treated with surgical resection followed by adjuvant treatment. The advanced-stage disease is treated with palliative care and therapies.
