Active soil microbes fluorescing with BONCAT

BONCAT is a highly effective microbial sorting tool that allows scientists to distinguish active vs. inactive microbes. Now that it has been adapted for use on soil samples, the tool will help inform research into how soil microbiomes affect large-scale environmental cycles.
