I live about 8 miles from the incline and I think it’s always worth noting that firefighters from all over the US on the anniversary of 9/11 and climb the incline (which is taller than the Empire State building) in full rescue gear to honor the 343 firefighters who died on 9/11.

I do it every week, often with a 50lb rucksack. Good workout

There is a bail out point half way if you don't want to do the whole climb. And a guy last year pushed a peanut all the way up with a plastic spoon on his nose 😂 Manitou is a beautiful, fun little town!

I live in CO Springs and the view is just amazing from Ute Valley. Might be going to Blodgett Peak and exploring that trail on Sunday!

Travelers from other states should be careful. Because this place is at a high altitude. There was an article in a local newspaper about someone dying from cardiac arrest while climbing here, so people with a weak heart should avoid it.

It is amazing. Can we thank the trail builders? They are often volunteers. Thank you.

I did it first time on a whim on my 70th birthday in winter with ice and snowing. It took me many hours but I was stubborn and made it. The way down Barr trail was treacherous, though. Only done it once since.

This is the staircase Eddie Murphy was talking about when he said his family member fell down the stairs in his stand-up, Delirious

Im from the Springs and people ruined it...everybody thinks they are an elite climber now and they own it..people put restraining orders on each other... for real it's ridiculous....😅

Congrats on finishing the trek. I've hiked those same trails. They are no easy feat. You should check out crystal mill out that way as well if you want some fun trails and great views.
